Pantographic door adjustment

Two questions on my 2000 sig:

1. While traveling in the recent hurricane like rain storms I found a little water in a couple compartments. In wiggling my bay doors when closed they don't seem to be closing as tightly as I'd like. Can I adjust them to close tighter? I see a single "L" shaped bar for the latch to grab. I assume I could bring that in an 1/8"?

2. When my engine bay door closes it rubs on the left side and has worn some of the paint off. I looked at the hinges and they don't look very adjustable. Are they?

Any thoughts on these two items?

I had problems with my engine cover popping open at the top latch if I hit a large bump. I looked at trying to adjust the hinge arms but that seemed to be a lot of trouble with no guarantee of fixing the problem.

I am guessing that the Sig cover is similar to the Dynasty. I have about a 3/4" gap between the edge of the cover and the body so I got some weatherstrip from Napa and filled the gap so the cover can no longer touch the body. Worked like a champ for me.
