Does anyone know about the parking in Sacramento? I'm close to 65 feet and have been told I can park at the public park at the train station. I'll be there several days attending a convention. If not that any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Boilermaker,

Here is some info, to include a number to call and ask about your rig at the Train station.
Parking

The City of Sacramento now has Pay-By-Space parking machines at the Sacramento Valley Station and the surrounding parking lots to make paying for parking easier for customers. The parking lots are located at 5th & I Streets, 6th & H Streets and 7th & G Streets in downtown Sacramento encompassing 1012 parking spaces. Daily and hourly customers will use the Pay-By-Space Machines to pay for their parking. The Pay-By-Space machines accept coins, cash, and credit cards (Visa & MasterCard). The customer need only pay at the machine and enter the parking stall number, collect a receipt and go. Monthly parking customers will continue to use the existing hangtags, and will not usethe new technology. City of Sacramento staff will be on hand to help introduce customers to the new machines and help ensure a smooth transition. More information is available on the City of Sacramento's Parking Website or call (916) 808-5110.

The ? is confusing. Are you wanting to overnite in those lots? Unless something has changed recently, you cannot. If you are looking for a RV Park, there are several. Haven't stayed in any there in years, so have no recommendations. I guess I would opt for the RV park at Cal Expo.

No I don't want to overnite just need a place to park the bus and trailer. I'll be staying in a hotel. I had heard that there was parking spots at the train station for trucks and big rigs.

Thanks

Just curious.. what dates are you gonna be in Sacramento?

I personally would not leave our rig there. Did you check with the hotel you will be staying at? Maybe that can make room..OR at least give you the name of a place to call...
Good Luck

I'll be there Thursday through Sunday of this week. I'll be staying on a river boat and the only thing they suggested was the public parking. I'm leaning toward the convention center. I'll have to call and see if I can fit in.
