Pic of Unknown Connection

Was reading the post on the Wilson Cell phone antenna and decided to look inside my dash just above the steering wheel. Opened access panel on top and started looking for a coiled cable against the firewall as described in my owners manual as a cell phone antenna cable. This is what I found but not sure it is for a cell phone. Looks like an antenna of sorts is coming out of the box along with a connector that is threaded.

On a T-Bird I had, that was part of the alarm/keyless entry system.

Looks like the reset enable button for changing the combination of the push button entry door lock.

Goldwinger2 and Mike Canter are correct, this is the button you push to change your combination on the keyless entry and/or the remote key fob.

The cable you are looking for will be a coil of cable that is probably 6-7 feet long, is RG-58 and may or may not have a connector on the end. You are looking in the correct place if you coach came equipped with a cell phone antenna. Look around the roof near the front cap eithe on the left or the right for a stubby antenna. It will be about 1 1/2" in diameter and about 2 1/2" tall.

Ok. I have accessed the keyless entry code reset and it is beneath the passenger cup holder. I don't have the alarm system option so that is probably what is used for that option. The red plastic is a cap and not a reset button if that helps. Will have to go back and look some more for the cell phone hookup. What size cable am I looking for? On the roof above the front cap on the passenger side is some sort of antenna hookup, threaded but nothing attached. Threads look similiar to a CB radio cable attachment. CB is hooked up and is located on driver side just above toll window and forward...Rubber Ducky type.

RG-58 cable will be about 3/16" in diameter.

What is behind the red plastic cap? If that is not a push button then if it has a pin in the middle of the barrel it may be a power connector. The short wire on the other side of the box, the one that isn't attached to anything, is most likely an antenna. I still believe this to be part of your lock system on the vehicle. Maybe it is a receiver for a key fob remote.

I didn't look at it real close but there was a wire pin inside similar to a cable tv connection.

With 2 non-shielded wires it isn't a RF or video connector... most likely a power connector or could be to plug in a switch some place else.

I remembered looking at a dynasty similar to mine and it had the Viper Alarm system which mine does not. I just went to the Viper website and under accessories, I saw a box that looked like mine. I think it was a window alarm setup of some type. I believe this is what I am seeing.

Looks a lot like this keyless entry system.
Valiant REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM WITH ALARM - JCWhitney
Try connecting a LED to the other two pin connector and see if it changes when you lock or unlock the door.
The switch is called a Valet Switch used for disabling the alarm when serviceing or parking the Coach.

THe red button looks like the programming button on a TriMark keyless entry to teach a new key fob to the system, but the box looks to small to be TriMark.

On TriMark you depress the button 5 times light comes an then you press the button on the key fob to have the key fob recognized by the system.

Be sure to tell us what it really is when you find out.

I agree with this post. We have the same Tri-Mark system and the red button is to program a new key FOB.

On my MH, it's the anti-start feature.

If I press the red button, I can bypass the feature and my MH will start by turning the key. If I don't bypass it, I have to pull the light switch and then turn the key.

It is not a button. Just a plastic red cap over the threaded connection. Almost sure it is part of the optional security system alert.
