Plastic Chain Wire Harness

On my Diplomat 40PDQ Roadside kitchen slide there is a plastic chain like mechanism that harnesses the necessary wiring.

After closing the slide this morning, upon a walk round, to my horror I noticed a huge bulge with this chain like harness protruding out.

I have tried to repair it to no avail, I now have to manually feed it in while my better half operates the slide.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If so, how did you go about repairing it, If not does anybody have any suggestions?

We have that type of chain on our Neptune, the chain can, if not flattened, be put back together, they are like little snap links, ours was hanging out one time when we put the slide in......now I hang onto the chain when we extend the slide and besure that it feeds in when we bring the slide in.....ours has electric, and water and what ever else can fit in the chain....hope this helps...good luck
