I have a plumbing installation that I do not understand. Under our bathroom sink there is a set of red and blue plastic pipes that are connected togeather by what looks like either a valve or pressure relief device. It has leaked and drenched the basement. What is this and how can I fix it.

Most likely that is the hot water heater mixer valve. Is it cracked does it just need prongs. Should be availablec at most RV supply shops

If it's like my coach, that is the backflow prevention (anit-siphon) device for flushing the black tank. The only time it has water flow is when you are flushing your black holding tank.

Aren't we talking about the bypass valve? When winterizing a coach with antifreeze, this valve stops the antifreeze from entering the hot water heater. The HWH is protected by draining it, thus it doesn't need the antifreeze mix in it.

Did the valve fail?....or the plastic piping attached to it?
