Several months ago I read about supporting the Power Gear tank to keep from breaking the weld. At the time I didn't have a problem and really didn't understand what the post was all about or even where the tank was. Well that all changed when mine started leaking. Thanks to the info I found on this site I knew right where to look and what to do. I found a good mobile RV Tech here in Yuma. He took the tank off in just a few minutes, took it to a local shop where they pressure tested it, found the crack in the weld and repaired it. The tank is now supported too and hopefully fixed forever. It took 3 1/2 years and 40,000 miles for it to leak on my 07 Diplomat. If you are like me and have not supported your tank yet, it is just a matter of time.

Excellent! Yet another success story of folks being able to use information from what other owners are experiencing. The OEMs are also doing the same thing almost on a daily basis to see if they can root out problems before they become real problems.

Wideslide,
You don't mention your model only that it is an SFT. I believe you may have a Diplomat judging from your photo. If that is the case the Powergear tank is located on the driver's side behind the grille that you need open with the barrel key. The door will hinge up. Open the door and holding it up with one hand use the key to open the dash air conditioner condenser radiator. Swing the radiator out perpendicular to the coach and rest the outer door down on the radiator. Inside this compartment you will see the Powergear tank, pump, and valve assembly. You will also find one of the fuel filters for the engine and the air dryer. All of these are items that need service from time to time. Even if you don't do your own service you need to keep that key with the coach and know where it is. If you take your coach somewhere like SpeedCo they will ask you where the fuel filters are. The air dryer needs to be changed about every three years and a place like SpeedCo will have those and can change it. By the way, the other fuel filter is hidden in the hole on the right rear side of the engine radiator. Open the swing out doors at the rear and look down past the hydraulic filter. You will see the second fuel filter mounted on the wall.

The power gear tank contains the fluid to run your leveling jacks.

Wildslide,
The tank is on the road side bay with the vented door. Here are some photos of my tank support.

Wideslide...we have the same coach. You will find two of the hydraulic tanks behind the condenser panel on the rear driver side. This is the compartment that you need to use your "barrel key" to access it. (You will find lots of photos in this Photo Album that may help you. )
Here is one that shows you what it looks like in your rig...
You will find it in the compartment that has the screen on it in this photo...
