Most likely your visros are from:

Auto-Motion Shade
181 Amber Street
Markham, ON L4W 2K4 Canada
403-773-3668
AutoMotion Shade - Shading Systems for the Transportation Industry

Don't think they will sell direct but check out their web site.

Sounds like you have the same type as I do. The plastic brackets crack where the attachment screws go into the upper visor area. I think mine are made by Carefree but would have to go to storage to see for sure. I do know that the previous owner of my 05 tried to replace the brackets prior to me buying the coach and could not get just the brackets. He had to buy the complete power shade. I have been trying to figure out a way to securely attach to what I presently have. In the meantime I have run an "wire tie" around the bracket and through the curtain rail to keep it from surprising me with a fall to the dash. Take a look at the carefree website and see for sure if that is what you have.

No, mine are Carefree. I have repaired the bracket by forming a mold from blue masking tape and thin pieces of crafts type plywood and filling it with JB Weld. When it drys I used a Dermal tool to cut the slot and then rout out the bottom. This made it thicker and I used a washer under the screw (longer screw) to attach it. So far it has held very well.

I removed the motor from the rest in to do this.

Well, when the ones in my '02 Endeavour broke, I called up carefree (after finding their manual for the shades in my owner's manual box), explained what I needed, and a full set of 4 replacement brackets arrived in the mail about 4 days later. No charge.
Got an apology for the problems it caused (I pointed out that it fell while driving down the highway and wasn't real safe because the fully extended shade completely blocked my view of the road).

How long ago did you do this? Were they still under warranty and did they send you the plastic brackets or aluminum brackets? Thanks

No they were not under warranty. Also note from the pictures they are much thicker, below the original top of the mount, than the original. Did this last summer or perhaps spring.

If this does not last, I will make a 'U' strap for a mount over the motor end.

Rex,
I think I may have confused the issue. I was responding to tquarles about his experience in calling carefree and getting new brackets. I also have been adapting an aluminum 'U" holder from a fishing rod holder to attach to the shade. I need more time though to get it right.

The rig was out of warranty. I think the sunvisors were out of warranty also. It was probably sometime in 2004.
The replacements were plastic also, although a different type.
other than a change in material, they were an exact replacement.

I found some plastic "C" type brackets used for conduit in the electrical supply area of Lowe's. They are a gray color and I think I got the 2" size but it could have been 2 1/2", not sure now. I sprayed them with black paint and for just a few dollars I have what I think is a permanent fix. The brackets fit over the motor end almost perfectly and do not interfere with the operation of the shade at all.

Thanks for that info, Jim. I have some of those left over from a wiring project. I will see if I can locate them and try that. Were you able to attach them on both ends of the shade or just on the motor end?

Just the motor end as the other end was fine. I really didn't look that close to see if the clamps would work on the other end. Would think they would.
