Pressure Protection Valve
I have finally found an air leak on my rear air tank. The PPV is split and leaking. I found a parts list that indicates the valve is a Haldex KN31000, but the pictures don't look like my valve. Do you think this would be a direct replacement?

I would take that picture to a HDT repair shop and see if they had one in-stock. The one I patronize is quite good at matching up with pictures I've showed them. This is a standard HDT item, they know a truck isn't making money sitting still and act quickly to repair them. About the only question asked is, what chassis and year.

It is a 2007 Holiday Rambler Navigator built by Monaco, a Roadmaster 10 bag chassis.

They are interchangeable even if it doesn't look exactly like yours. The key is getting one that opens and closes at pressures very close to yours. The one on my coach opens at ~65 PSI and closes at 60 PSI. You find they are all over the place, but close is good enough. It just stops supplying air to your suspension, air horns etc if your pressure drops too low, so your brakes will still have pressure to not lock up.

These are the one I've been using. They're made by Haldex. I can get your the PN if you like.

Thanks, yes, I've seen that one. I'm going to try to get in there again and clean it up, which I should have done initially, and see if it has any part numbers or pressures on it.

There are many Pressure Protection Valve to choose from. They are available with a different "set pressures" that the valve closes at.
Other than that, it doesn't matter which part/brand you chose. Except for the fitting sizes and orientation - which should match to make replacement easier.

Thanks for the links. Many of them I've seen. So did you just use a tee on that valve? The valve that I have that is bad has 2 air lines coming into it.

Like this? One of mine actually had three lines coming off of it, one of them from a T. The PPV had the same part number KN13000. My Freightliner dealer matched it up from their stock. I may be able to find the receipt and see what they call it.
You could also use a run tee, I have another PPV that uses one for the rear air bags. One end goes to the air bag in front of the axle and the other goes to the air bag behind the axle. On the other side, there is only one fitting and the air bags daisy chain. Go figure.

I am thinking as long as the pressures are similar, most any should work. The other PPV on the rear tank has 3 lines coming out, a single and a tee. Access is going to be tough.

A quick update. I decided access was poor enough to get a mobile tech, a small wiry guy, perfect for the job. We replaced it with a similar, but not exact replacement as we could not determine what I actually had. In fact, there are no markings on the original valve at all!

Is the one in the photo above, what came out - or what you installed?
It looks like this one (from the link in my post above).
