Hello,
Last time out got a flashing error code on the Norcold refrigerator controls. Coincidentally we were running the inverter for the first time while underway and forgot to switch the fridge over to LP before switching on the inverter. Has me wondering if that didn't do something to the fridge controls. I can't recall the exact code it was flashing but I did look in the manual at the time and it said to have a service rep look at it. Has anyone had this sort of problem. Getting ready to go again this week end has me wondering if theres anything I can do to avoid further trouble. The fridge worked while plugged up and will work on gas if the inverters off but if the invertors on even though I set the fridge to gas before turning on the inverter I will get the flashing code again.

What model frig do you have? I was thinking most/all of them can be set to automatically switch back and forth.

They can be finicky with their internal diagnostics, even tho the codes are usually quite detailed they sometimes can fool themselves. Be good to get an expert's opinion on what it's trying to tell you.

Let us know what you find, and we may be able ot help some more. I'm getting a good edumication on them myself (but not because I want to!)

HTH, Ron

To stand a chance to help you, we need to know the Model refrigerator you have and the error code it is giving you.

Your inverter maybe momenterally interupting the 12v's to your fridge control board, that it operates from, on either gas or 110V.
Would have 12v's wired direct from converter to fridge.

Thanks all for your replies. Haven't had time to check the model number, had to earn a living the last two days and trying to get ready to head out this weekend has me short on time. I will try and post the the model number and code thats flashing on Saturday when I reach my destination. Keep you posted.
