air hissing

Congrats on the purchase of your unit. I hope you enjoy your unit as much as we have ours.

I didn't see in reading you found an answer to the air hissing. When you activate your levelers, I believe that an air dump solenoid is activated and starts to release air out of the air bags. On my unit I notice that you can hear this for 2-3 minutes after the mh has finished leveling. On my mh which is older than yours but similar, I got fooled in early ownership that I couldn't get the levelers to work cause I had put on the parking brake (required) but failed to notice that it was still in gear, so no leveling. The ignition needs to be on I usually have the engine still running-- but it can be off. others have already spoke to the possible problem of low hyd oil in the reservoir, you should hear an electric pump running, if the pump is running and no leveling occurring there could be a stuck hyd valve or the signal to the selenoid on the hyd valve is missing, Also the solenoid coil could have failed-- on the unusual side, but not unheard of. Hopefully you don't have a bent cylinder shaft-- that's kinda unusual but if the previous owner moved the coach before it was up -- it's possible but he would have ignored the levelers down alarm--I'd say this is remote.

So you are right to reach out and ask questions-- there's just so many things-- actually simple things that keep something from working. But once you learn how things work, much of it becomes second nature. Course the fun of rving to me is that there's always something to learn either through your own problem or reading of others and seeing if what I know might help.

Contact Monaco at 877-466-6226. You will have to give them some info on your coach and they can help some on the coach but not sure on the appliances and goodies
