on a recent trip to SC from So IL, I noticed my amp gauge was pulsating between 13 and 15 on a count of 1,2,3---1,2,3. My light were effected also, so I quit driving that night. Horror to me, it continued onto SC and Home again. I find no wire loose, no electrical smell whatso ever. I had generator running to overcome the immence heat of summer.

Are you talking about the dash Amp Gage? What lights were affected? Was it raining?

My guess that is a voltage gage and not an amp gage. First thing to do is take off the battery cables from the chassis batteries and make sure they are clean and put them on tight and see if it still does it. If so then get your chassis battery tested under load.
