purchased a 2003 monaco Lapalma 36dbd

Hi ,we purchased a 2003 Monaco Lapalma DBD and have a 30 day guarantee along with a 18 month warranty and was wondering what I should look for before my 30 days are up and can't return it. There is a small chip in wind shield. They said it was ok as it wasn't in the wiper path, but I think smaller wipers were installed so that it wasn't in the path of wiper. Can anyone tell me what length of wiper should be on it? Also noticed that there is some water at each side of the rear slide when raining. The awning above slide had got caught in slide so hopefully that was only reason for the water (time will tell) Any info on problems found with this style unit would be greatly appreciated, The unit looks to well taken care of accept for a few things. I do realize its ten years old but would like to know what to expect.
Thanks

Enjoy the coach and fix things as needed. If you have a trip with nothing going wrong you did good. deSanford PS good tires less then 5years old and good brakes and you are ready to go. After 5 years it is a gamble on tires.

Try each and every system - making a list of success and issues as you go.
On shore, generator and battery power.

As mentioned, check age of tires - IMPORTANT to do so. RV tires age out rather than wear out.

Have all fluids and filters changed, including brake fluid, fuel filters, etc.. Chassis lube by somebody who actually will do it. Don't overlook generator oil and filter change too.

Sanitize the fresh water system.

When buying a used motorhome from a dealer always have the dealer as part of the deal do all the items Vince mentioned. deSanford
