Putting oil in 8.1 after oil change

Am I the only one who seems to have an issue putting oil back in my GM 8.1 after changing it on my '04 HR Rambler Vacationer W22? None of the oil bottles or jugs fit the tube and the angle isn't funnel friendly either. Is there an adaptor or funnel that screws on that fits the large opening on the 5QT jugs? I tried various other empty bottles (1 qt. oil, 1L and 2L soda, 1 Gal milk and several funnels) but nothing fits the tube tight and even when my wife assisted me it is very crowded and awkward trying not to spill that $$$ synthetic oil. Is there a conspiracy that will not allow anybody to manufacture a spout to the right size? I had a similar issue with my old 7.4L P30 but it was mounted lower in the front opening so I was able to use a long hose to do it. This one is too high for the accessible opening.

When I've had situations such as you're describing, I've added a length of 3/4" hose to the bottom of a Transmission funnel. The length of the hose depends on your situation and configuration. Dump the oil into the funnel and the oil travels down the inside of the hose into the engine. If a transmission funnel is too long then look around for another funnel that will work for you.

Google Automatic transmission funnel for some photo's.

I've built an adapter with a funnel and some PVC pipe. The funnel is held in place with a pipe cleaner while I'm adding oil.

Have to pour slowly too. Someone suggested pulling the oil dipstick to allow better venting while pouring the oil.

I only use 1 quart containers. 5 quart is a no go as far as I'm concerned.

Would something like this work?

Good evening to you Vacationer4,
Would something like the measuring funnel with clear hose (picture attached) work for you?
I have one of these at the house and it worked well when I needed to fill the manual transmission on my Hyundai Santa Fe. You can put a longer or shorter hose on it if needed. Mine has an on/off valve at the bottom of the funnel. At least that way you'd know when you have 1/2 a quart if you needed to add just 1/2 a quart...
