It's that time of the year again, and some of us I'm sure are thinking about this great show in the middle of the desert. Last year was the first time that we stayed on BLM land and were able to meet other Monaco and IRV2 members. We had a great time talking about our coaches, the good stories and the bad, and helping each other with real first hand information about our RV's, travels and life. The kinda stuff that opens your eyes to a new world.
Ok, who's coming, who's not and why or why not. I think if we start talking now, that we could maybe get somthing going that could be a great time. I was thinking that the rules would be that there are no rules.
What do you think?

We'll be arriving Thursday the 22nd and leaving Sunday morning the 25th. We stay at the Holiday Palms RV Park. You can walk out the back gate of the park, under the freeway, and into the RV Show.
The RV Show was lacking last year and I expect it to be dismal this year. We also like to go to all of the flea markets, but even those were disappearing last year. A lot of it had to do with the taxes imposed by the City to make up for the huge population during the winter.
It's a quick trip for us, but it will be our fourth year and we still have fun.

Hi all, although we really loved meeting everyone last year, we won't be attending this year. Sadly, the economy has taken it's toll on us and the beautiful motorhome is up for sale. Perhaps next year we'll be able to get another RV of some sort, but it will be a while. Have fun, and we're looking forward to pictures and good stories!

We'll be there! We plan to arrive around the 15th and maybe stay for 2 weeks. We had such a good time last year, our first, and totally enjoyed the show and the surrounding flea markets. Of course the best part was meeting new friends around the campfire in the evenings. We enjoyed "touring" each other's rigs and sharing tips & stories.
It was unstructured, meaning no planned events, whatever you arrange while you're there. If you have wood for the campfire please bring it. Otherwise, like Drifter said, no rules.
We also had a great location - close, but not too close, to the water and dumpstations. You could see if there was a long line to dump and you got to see some very interesting RVs. We'll have to see how to let everyone know where we decide to set up camp. I'll help the Drifters if they want help. (if I can figure out where we were last time ) Don't know yet if Teofff will be joining, but we can put out signs like he did last year.

We will arrive there on the morning of the 25th and will stay at the Sunsetters RV Park until March 1st. This will be our 1st time there. We would love to meet and visit with others who are still there when we arrive.

You might get there a little earlier than the 25th...you'll miss all the buzz and most of the bargains at Kenny King's "BIG TOP"

We will get there before the 25th if we can. It is 1175 miles and we have a week to drive it. That time of year you never know when you might have to "hole-up" somewhere to wait out a winter storm though. It could be fun to spend a few days in the desert before going to the RV park.
