I'm thinking it's a loose connection at the camera in the rear or corrosion. Open to suggestions and looking to borrow a step ladder to get up to the camera if anyone has one.

See everyone soon.

We had a similar problem with our camera years ago. I called the camera manufacturers and they told me that they had heat related problems with their cable connectors. I solved the problem by cutting off the connector altogether and just hard wiring the camera using solder and heat shrink for each conductor. The heat from the engine caused the factory connector to become intermittent. The only challenge was doing this while standing on the ladder.

We are planning to be arriving on the 19th. I have a soldering iron and heat shrink!

We've the same occurrence. But I found a way around it when using my Aladdin System:
1. I GoTo the "Engine" display
2. At the bottom of that display is the line item "Camera"
3. I GOTO "Camera" and the rear camera stays on until I use my turn signals.

While this doesn't eliminate the specific problem you have, it is a way around it until you get to our circle.

We should be there late on the 19th as well. We also have a ladder and maybe use it as a "balancing act" with the other ladder!!!!

I long ago disconnected the turn signal inputs to my system. I much prefer to not make my brain and eyes switch to those images. I want to keep a steady eye on those fools that seem to think changing lanes is a good idea once I turn my signals on. That fraction of a second it takes when the camera changes is long enough for them to jump over and try to pass.

I did the same. I installed a switch to the turn signal lines, but never use them. Rear view camera on all the time.

Thx everyone. Look forward to talking to everyone to see if I can fix it. Heat might be the culprit but why would it work then when I stop and put it in reverse? See you on the 19th.

If it is the Voyager model, the cable from the monitor to the harness can act up.

The monitor itself can become defective too.

As a method of sorting it out I'm wondering if you couldn't swap camera cables for a test.

I heavy stop and go traffic I will sometimes set the monitor to look at the rear camera and the right one where people like to hide.

Myron, I understand why you could not make it to Q this year. But already I've needed your expertise TWICE. We all expect you to be there next year!!

Interesting to get these different perspectives on rear and side facing cameras. There are no right or wrong answers for this one.

I went the other route: I have two "out-board and rear facing, side view cameras" plus the read view camera. This way I can at all times see both sides and the rear. It works best for me witnessing all of the deranged drivers out there!!!!

I'm a phone call away, day or night. I can generally talk people through problems. Did it for almost 40 years. Techs in the field called all the time.

I'm bringing my own bike, but I'm sure you should have good luck with one of the circle participants offering a ride.

Like Myron’s 12v experience, it’s helped me many a time just reading a thread.

This year the annual Monaco meeting in Quartzsite seems to be building up to be another great time for the gathering of new and old friends.

I have apologies with deep regrets for not being able to attend. This year would have been our tenth time with the Monaco group.

We have had the misfortune of having our coach rear ended while being parked in our winter RV lot. The damage is much more than we can overcome to be able to attend this year.

So have a great time and post lots of pictures for all to see.

PS, If you have a chance and you are traveling near Laughlin we are staying at Riverside Casino RV park Lot#486, stop buy.
