Quartzsite Newbie

Hi - We have just arrived at Quartzsite and are a bit overwhelmed!
We are members of both FMCA and Escapees. Was hoping to find an area where either or park.
Any advice from anyone on where to camp or start!? We are currently on Plomosa Rd. Will be willing to move. Seems a bit far from it all here. I have heard of Dome Rock area which I will check out today.
Any info would be appreciated. Mary

Hey Perry,

I still have 8' and a 2' piece of the engine hatch foam. I'll mail it to you.

however, I lost your contact info sheet we did the other morning. Email me the info and I'll get it going in your direction.

p.s. as soon as you send me the contact info, I'll find that piece of paper.

Thank you Wendy and Jeanie
I have close to 100 of them.

Plz have a look at the last page of my web site Contact and send me a message.

Say “Hi” from Danes-on-tour to all the seasoned Q campers and tell them that we miss being there with them.

Enjoy your stay

Just left Q this morning.
Thanks to all who helped everyone again this year.

Missed seeing both you and Sharon, Mike.
Sorry to hear about your coach.

To all of you that accepted my sense of humor and
gave back in return.

The rocky parking is making it impossible to get the coaches level and I just don't trust the accuracy. The scale isn't setting on the ground completely due to those rocks and I think the weights are considerably off So we abandoned it. I had to leave this morning for some appointments.

If anyone ever gets near Palm Desert, I can bring the scale over to you and we can try it again. We really need flat hard surface. Pavement or concrete preferred.
Thank you for weighing our coach. What I got from it was that I am close right to left. Now a quick trip through CAT Scales will allow me to adjust my tires.
Again, thanks from John, Donna & Ginger.

John,

I'd take the results with a grain of salt. Results were wacky. Can't explain it except ground was too rocky and coaches were not level.

You're left to right, as I recall was pretty close. Many coaches are off by 500-1500 lbs left/right.

safe travels.
