Got our car situation figured out today. Still plan on rolling in at about noon on Friday. Melissa may roll in with the rental car ahead of me. Long story.

The weather looks like it will cooperate for the week ahead, just light snow forecast for tomorrow now. Then the obstacle of the snow and ice on the dirt road from our house for 2 miles out to paved road . Planning to plow it again today if the darn wind would stop drifting it over. Expecting to be on the road Saturday morning, overnight around Gallup and hopefully roll in Sunday mid afternoon. We'll see if mother nature is on board with our plan. Got wood ...

Heading in as we speak, we'll be pulling in a couple hours, going to the actual location is there someone who is coordinating how they want folks parked up? Or just find a bunch of Monaco's and grab a location somewhere in the vicinity preferably in the form of some sort of circle?

Got a stack of firewood and look forward to meeting everyone.

Be there in a couple hours, Brian and Fiona

Hi all. Just left Quartzite this morning, and wanted to thank Mike for helping with the doors. Got to meet a lot of nice folks and will be there next year and stay longer than 2 days. I'll hogtie the Mrs. and bring her for sure.

Q count

This Friday evening we have 34 coaches in a well defined circle and the weather was great. We had a Hot Dog lunch (75) that was well received.

PS,
My running door count is 92.

Hi All,
John & I were heading to join you however when we stopped in Indio to have our dish service we found our generator quit and needs service so we quickly found a place in Salome that has shuttle service to the tent so we will not be able to participate this year. Was looking forward to having my door serviced (had cookies in the tin and firewood in the bay. Sounds like you're having fun. Will plan to participate next year. Have fun for us!!!

We flew in for the Quartzsite RV show this weekend, scoping the place prior to retiring. We were very disappointed. The RV show tent seemed like 3/4th booths of “As Seen On TV” booths, with RV booths sprinkled. We did buy a nice CPAP battery, that lasts 3 days, and also had 3 USB ports. We learned a lot from one guy about solar; but, there were very few booths for solar.
We came through the north entrance of LTVA , which there were quite a few “questionable” groups. Some looked like drug addicts tent city. The closer you got to the south entrance, the better the crowd seemed.
The one bright spot was Dome Rock. We drove our rental Jeep onto the trails. It seemed to be a very nice place to boondock. That’s the only place I would consider camping.
