Hoping to bring my YXZ again this year if we make it and interested in joining you on some trail rides. Chris had a total knee replacement after Thanksgiving so trip and bringing toy will depend on how she's doing.

Thanks for letting me know the expo has been canceled. Now I'll plan to be there around rv show opening.

Have any of you done much riding around Q? I ordered a book about the local trails and another that covers the whole state. It looks like there are many easy and moderate trails but only a few challenging or difficult trails. Dad and I tend to gravitate towards the harder trails. If anyone has similar tastes I'd like suggestions on the more difficult trails or anywhere else in AZ we may want to check out. We'll likely spend 4-5 days riding around Wickenburg on way down, then Lake Havasu and onto Glammis on the way to Tulare. I'm not a big dune fan but I figured being that close to Glammis I'd check it out. Thanks

Just drove out BLM here at Quartzsite, the host are closed but it appears that this year they left the water on and the dump open. People are still coming in.

Unhappy Guess We won't make it this year.

After last year I couldn't wait for this year. We
have been on the road since August going
across the mid-west and down the east coast
until Lake City, FL where engine trouble got
us.

It seems that a piece of the valve train came
lose and stuck under the rocker arm on the
#4 cylinder. Valve struck piston. Motor
change. 56K miles on motor very
disappointed.

We have been here since Dec 16. Took a
week to get to it, a week to troubleshoot and
now waiting for the quote to go into Good
Sam. Any luck the motor will get ordered on
the 2nd. I have no idea where the motor will
come from but guess it will be another week
to get here and then a week to install it.

Don't suppose we will be out of here before
the end of Jan and we have two major stops
before we get to AZ. I am going to ask the
folks doing the repair if I can take pictures of
the process. If we are still here when the
Tampa show hits we may go there.

DW believes that we are caught in the Bermuda
Triangle of engine failure. At this exit on the freeway there are four truck repair
facilities: Freightliner, Peterbuild, Cat, and another.

OBTW: CrazyKnight - Installed the inverter. It
works great but as always there were
adventures along the way. I will have to post the actual installation.

So, since getting stuck in the mud at Colorado River RV park last month, I'm a little leery about where I go with my big rig. Anyone have a similar issue that is going to be with the group at quartzite?

Is there a best route to come to get to the group, with the least worries? Am still looking excitedly for the time with the group. Plan on coming in on the 18th.

You will be welcome for coffee at a fellow Texans rig. Actually, one of those Damn Yankees. But, been in Texas for 22 years.

Update: I think I got the impression that you were a Texan from another post exchange that we had last year. No problem. You're still welcome for coffee. :-)
