Here are pics of the cabinet redone, moved back toward the windshield, flat panel TV installed on a semi-articulating bracket to allow for access behind. When we are parked for the winter, the cable modem and router are behind the TV.
Second photo taken from the stairs shows how far back it was moved. No more bumped noggins on the way in.

Have the admins ever considered breaking this quick and easy thread up into quick and easy, more than 20 steps, nuclear training required or something more useful?!? I've not looked at this thread for a long time because many of the great ideas are just that, ideas I like, but would never do ! I am somewhat joking, but some of this are anything BUT quick and easy.... Maybe the projects could be moved out to a different thread...

LED Headlights Replacement for '04 Monaco Sig
Knock, Knock
Have any Monaco Sig Owners replaced the stock LED headlights on their Monaco's? We lost low Beam headlights due to what we believe was a short in the J12 plug Harness and have to replace the VIP SM209 Smart Wheel Master controller (fried the terminal attached to the board). Called the Intellitec (board Mfg) rep and they suggested replacing the headlights with LEDs.. said the J12 plug has a tendency to overload. The other option he suggested was to replace with Bosch relays to take the load off the J12 plug (too complex for me) Need Make/ Model number and housing if different than the OEM head lamps.
Many Thanks.

Same problem, replaced struts. Still very heavy to lift, so I relocated the lower strut mounts forward and lower. Moved the mounts maybe 2" but it made a tremendous difference.

Carla,
I see you're pretty new to this site. Welcome.
I would suggest starting a new thread asking for help on your particular problem.. This particular thread, which is very long, is more for people showing others what they have done.
Title it reflecting your problem. You'll get lots of advice and help.

Over the past two days I've taken advantage of the cold weather to install LED lighting inside of the upper cabinets. Operated with magnetic Reed switches so the lights turn on when you open and close the cabinet doors.

Very nice job, and creative. Did you use LED strips, or discrete bulbs?

Self-adhesive LED strip from Amazon. Cut it to length

John. Did you notice a coach comfort difference with the addition of the reflective insulation in the cabinets?

It is subtle, but a little bit yes. Mostly in the heat. I can open those cabinets and they will be slightly cooler. I did all cabinets that communicate to the outside.

Looks great. What did you wire the lights to for power?

That was a bit of a challenge. on the road side I pulled it from where the refrigerator had 12 volt power, since I have a Samsung in there now. The curbside I found some unused 12 volt wires down below the kitchen cabinet and had to tie that into another unused 12-volt run that was already existing in the slide out.
