Here are a few tips and mods that have made traveling in my Monaco Diplomat easier.
I installed a 12 volt LED nightlight to light the stepdown on the far side of the bed for safety reasons:
I rigged safety lines for the sliding closet doors in case the latches fail, or I fail to latch them properly:
I moved the lower ladder extension to the back of the coach to make space in the storage compartment. The extension hooks over a rung and is held in place by a bungie cord. A cable lock prevents the ladder from walking:
I use the yellow tape strips at the base of the windshield to make sure that I'm in my lane when I meet traffic on a narrow road. I can line the left strip up with the centerline or the right strip with the road edge. The red strip is for my wife because her seat position is forward:
We use this telescoping backscratcher to reach stuff on the dash, or slide the dash panel back, without unbuckling the seat belt. Especially handy for operating the GPS:
I store the sewer hose in this vinyl fence post on top of the LP tank:
We travel with a cat and her litter box lives in the shower (when we are not using the shower). The split pool noodle prevents the door from closing completely and the small bungie prevents the door from swinging open:
We found these shelves at Walmart for the corner of the shower. They attach with suction cups:
We use this container to hold the bathroom soap dispenser while traveling so the soap does not spill out into the sink or onto the counter or floor. It attaches with suction cups:
We found a folding step ladder on Amazon. It is 8' long collapsed and stores in a vinyl fence post across the back of the basement compartment. We can pile stuff on top
of the fence post and the ladder slides out either side:
I replaced the 26" CRT TV with a 32" flat screen LED. I mounted it to a 3/4" piece of plywood stained to sort of match the cabinets. A piece of plywood replaced the louvered panel on the back side and extends slightly below the old TV box. I mounted a soundbar to the extension:
