Perry, Great job!
re: "I need some help with an issue I discovered. Drivers side rear slide, bed platform is mounted on it, queen bed, 2 night stands also.
1) slide sounds like it's straining moving out, sounds like more load.
2) slide moving goes like gang busters no problems.
Things I checked so far, LCI gear box, no broken plastic gear, motor seems ok, it meters out with more load when opening. "
I have this same symptom.
I had my bed off and added aluminum and support (only to the foot of the bed). Put it all back together after cleaning and checking rollers bearings, possible rub points and going out it labors, with well charged batteries, it may shut off via thermal cutout but it pulls in just fine.
Did yours operate better when all back together?

Well that's a million dollar question: before carpet project I had all the same issues. The thermal breaker would cut the slide out while moving out.
During carpet project, I checked everything that I could, lubed, aligned the slide per Elite RV folks.
One thing I do know now ( with Bill Willard's advise) don't balance the slide until the bed platform is reinstalled.
I adjusted slide, and adjusted interior bed platform rollers to relieve some outward pressure.
My slide still moves slow out but a little better now. One thing that did change was moving in, now it hangs up on the forward most point just slightly and comes smooth after it starts.
I review again today, I'm now convinced its a design issue? Unless anyone can add to what we know, I'm scratching my head so far!

Rich you are near by, Folsom? Your more than welcome to come by if you are in the area, Fairfield. I'm actually heading to 49 camp in Plymouth this weekend.

Yes Perry, Folsom for a few more months. Currently selling the house and trying to get the toad connected to the back of the coach.
Finally got the bed squared away but still nervous when the motor cuts out. I fear it just might be a marginally spec'd motor.

Rich you could be right, I sent the motor information to LCI, with some pictures hoping they have an engineer who can chime in.

I find it helps if I plug in to shore power before I put the bed slide out.

Quick Tips and Easy Mods (Monaco Style)
Ok it's time to start the entry stair remodel: on the list:
1) new treads, riders, different color.
2) new LED stair lighting, under leading edge of stair tread hidden.
3) New carpet left and right sides.
4) step cover redo, new carpet top only:
A) new step cover front Mirrored SS with laser cut Monaco logo centered.
B) 1/4" lexan, either white or off white to place behind SS step cover front and back lite I hope.
Any ideas as I go, please comment. Anyone know a good adhesive mastic remover, this crap is sticky and sticks to everything!
Enjoy the thread, I will try to update as I go, see current pictures.

Just starting to remove trim, simple small pry bar and wide putty knife to release glue on edging.

All tread and risers removed now the glue, help! Acetone helps but I'm looking for magic solution![emoji51]

Perry, from your description it sounds like it's going to look really nice when you're done.

Thought about it John, wife likes the carpet, have to keep the boss happy!
I thought about Corian sides, steps I seen in a Marathon coach, but the cost was limiting factor.

Accent tile. It cleans easier than carpet. But carpet is easier on the knees.....
