2004 Endeaver, had to replace the radiator as a rock struct a line in the core.

Once I had the radiator out, inspection revealed several impacts to the core over the years.I also noted there was a slite galvanic corrision in the areas of the tanks. This is when aluminum and a dissimilar metals come in contact with each other with the introduction of an electrolyte IE water. Electrolysis occurs and the aluminum becomes the scarificial metal.

I repaired the damage radiator tube but elected not to re-use this radiator. Since the radiator and air to air were removed it became an easy task in changing out the fan to a viscous/electric lock up fan clutch from Horton. Have to replace the fan and hub as well and program the ECM with the use of the Insight Program and install a switch on the dash to allow me to activate the fan clutch at will if needed.

Knowing that the OEM radiator was only a two core radiator there were concerns with loss of fan RPM'S of over heating.

I had a rock core radiator built . The core uses heavier tubes on the fan side of the core. These radiator cores are design for vehicles used on heavy gravel roads. The tubes are three times heavier.

The new radiator was not a two line core aluminum it was brass with steel tubes and fins. Aluminum displaces heat better than brass so I put in a three line core instead .

I also found that my transmission lines were leaking and my extended warranty RV Shield paid for this repair.

It was also easy at this time to replace the belts.

Since the air to air sits on top of the radiator had use an insulator between them to prevent galvanic corrision to the air to air.

It took over 16 hours to do the this change. I was fortunate my only cost was the Horton conversion as my insurance company paid $3850.00 as a comprehrensive claim for the radiator.

I have notice the engine runs cool at all the times right in the correct operating temperature. There is an increase in low end power.Fuel mileage is up about 8%.

Bob, I have had the Horton's fan for over 2-years now on my 07 Knight and its a very nice addition. The first thing I noticed was how much more quiet the engine sounds. There's no special things you need to do the fan does it all automatically. Has increased our fuel mileage about .6 mpg.

Ditto to this.

I don't know about fuel milage but on our last 3 month trip we frequently got over 9 miles per gallon - record being 9.8MPG. We have around 28.000miles on the engine so maybe it is run in now adding to a better fuel economy? We have no regrets about replacing the original fan with the Horton.
