8.3 Cummins on an '04 Beaver RR8R chassis....... Has anyone every laid eyes on the lower radiator drain? Book says it is on street side however all we find in that location is the lower water hose and it's connection to the radiator! 2-3 hours have been spent looking for this rascal! We've traced all water hoses and found the engine drains but no low point drain for the entire system!
We hate to take the hose off but that looks like the only way - Has anyone had this problem?

Well, on my 2000 Diplomat I don't have a drain petcock. When I changed the coolant I just removed the lower hose from the radiator. Be sure to be prepared for a LOT of coolant. I used one of those big old metal wash tubs.

I have a petcock on my '06 Endeavor with the ISL 400. It is located on the road side very low on the lower end tank on the forward side of the tank. Very difficult to see and was told by many that it did not exist. It was above a cross member and needed a light to see it.

We'll go look for an "allen head plug" behind a "cross member" today.
BTW, ours is a rear radiator.

On our 2006 Diplomat it is on the bottom inside (engine side) of the radiator, just above a frame rail. I looked long and hard and finally spotted it. It is so difficult to see and access, I don't see how they figured anyone would be able to utilize it.

Hal.......Take a look at this link MODINE RADIATOR/CHARGE AIR COOLER MONACO FREIGHTLINER: eBay Motors (item 130336463929 end time Sep-05-10 14:23:12 PDT)=

Enlarge the third photo and you'll see the petcock at the base of the radiator. As others have said, it's on the street side, bottom of the tank, facing forward. You have to reach your hand up in there to find it.
