I have a 2006 Monaco Knight with the Magnadyne AM/FM/CD radio. The reception is terrible. I am thinking about replacing the roof antenna but dont know which one it is. There are two rubber ducky antenna's on the roof. Both are at the front of the coach, one is center and the other is over the drivers side. Does anyone know which one is the radio and which one is the cb antenna?

I have been thinking of getting another antenna myself. I probably have the same small rubber whip that doesnt seem to perform very well. I went on the roof and loosed the screw on the antenna and stuck a piece of speaker wire in the joint then wrapped it around the whip to the top and taped it. This was just a test and the reception was much better. I will keep an eye on this to see what people are replacing it with

The magnadyne is a true POJ and changing the antenna may not have any effect!

As Moisheh said, the Magnadyne is not such a great radio.

Before you change out antennas, remove the rubber screw on antenna mast from the metal base and go to a local automotive store, even Walmart, and look for a metal antenna with a screw on metal mast. I found a metal antenna with a spring base that was about 12" tall that screwed directly onto the metal base on the roof. It improved the reception.

I ended up changing the antenna mast to a short steel spiral wrapped mast. It seems to have improved the reception. Thanks guys!
