As was noted in earlier posts, it might be just as easy (or easier?) to remove the entire panel (6 screws, as I recall) and then release the radio and its mounting bracket from the back.

I found that way much simpler when I did mine, because one of the little lock-tabs evidently got bent when the radio was initially installed and the wire-thingy method didn't work.

And if you're changing brands, you'll probably have to replace the mounting bracket anyways.

You probably right RustyTools. Probably is easier that way. He would have to remove the trim piece anyway to remove the sleeve of the old radio. Good call.

Rmvd the radio today not a big deal, just rmvd the dash screws and pulled everything fwd. Found a nice Bluetooth Kenwood replacement....

It's a Kenwood CD with Blutooth. I picked it up from autozone but it has more features than I'll ever use.
