Re: External water hookup for 2003 Scepter

So, I never have had a need to (bc I have always used the gravity fill and rarely used full hookup sites), but its not obvious to me where I attach the external water supply on my wet bay. Any suggestions?

Pic1 is the bay and the other is my manual. By the way, there is no inlet on my city valve like is shown in the manual.

Your diagram shows the hose reel and switch, but from your picture, it looks like the whole thing has been cut out.

Is the hose reel still inside that cut out area? All I do to hook up to water is pull the hose out and it unspools from the reel.

Nope
Just another Monaco snowflake that doesnt match the manual...

I can look behind it somewhat and there is no plumbing manifold. The City valve does go to the faucet outlet but no matter what direction I turn it (the valve) if there is water in the onboard tank it still comes out the faucet. I guess its possible the faucet could be the inlet as it has a pressure reg on it but that still seems kinda bizarre.

If that is the inlet, there should be a check valve to keep the water from going back into the hose. I don't have a picture of the check valve, but they are somewhat subtle. (otherwords, they almost look like another fitting or coupling in line)

My plumbing manifold is not near the hose intake. Mine is on the other side of the coach, so your manifold might not be there anyway.

Is this a new to you coach? If so, who knows what a previous owner has done.

I also noted that the cut out I see in your picture looks like there are screw holes on the side. It looks like a cover plate of something was taken out.

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
Looks like the hose (bottom L by red Line) is the replacement for the hose that was on the hose reel. I'd hook it up and see what happens.
