Re: New to Class A 2016 Monaco Diplomat tag axle
We are brand new to Class A and finally brought our 2016 Monaco Diplomat 43DF home and I forgot what I am supposed to do with the tag axle switch on the left panel area -- I know it helps in tight turns at low speeds, etc., but which way do I set the rocker switch? It has dump/manual/automatic on the label -- I heard the air dump out when I was playing around with it and the warning flashed on the instrument panel. Do I set it so it is level, in other words both ends are up? Also, I read somewhere that we should dump the tag before leveling - is that correct or ?
Any and all help is appreciated as the 'owner's manual' is not a lot of help for this question.
Also, while the coach is stored inside, I would like to plug it in to keep the batteries charged and keep the refrigerator on as well (at least go turn it on a few days before a trip to cool food, etc.), but not sure of all the details of how that should be set up, etc.
Thank you in advance for helping a couple noobs to Class A, as we are converts from three fifth wheels since 2008 and propane worked well to run the 'reefer' prior to trips without running the batteries down.

Congrat's on the new Monaco Dip. That is a great floorplan and one nice coach. Sorry can't help with the air dump for your tag as mine is different than yours.
If you can I would set up a 30amp plugin for your coach and then you will be ok for what your wanting to do. You may get by on 20amp but much better with 30amp

Hi Trap and thank you.
I have a 30 amp outlet and the reducer plug from 50 to 30 Just wanted to insure it was ok to run the refrigerator inside the storage building etc.
I'll keep watching for the answer to the tag dump thingie

We have the same Yr and model. Instructed to just keep it in auto mode. It will automatically lift the tag when backing. I believe that is pushing the toggle switch forward. We are loving ours so far. No major issues.

thanks, I could not remember which way the toggle is supposed to be placed.
I also read about dumping the tag before leveling on another thread, which makes sense in that the coach will be lower to the ground and then do the level before slide outs

The air should dump on its own when you start the leveling process. We have a 2016 Diplomat 43SF and we love it.

Thanks Dano,
Is the rocker switch in the auto with both ends up or pushed forward to do automatic?

The rocker switch is in auto with both ends up. We leave it there and the tag dumps and refills as necessary on its own.

Nice feature !
I invariably forget to lower the tag !
Trusting some on the forum said it automatically goes back down protecting me from me !
