Rear drivers side slide won't retract
All slides work fine except for driver's side rear will extend, but not retract. You can hear the hydraulic pump kick on when switch is pushed to retract, but no movement. Any ideas? 2005 executive. Thanks!

Have you checked your hydraulic fluid level?

Are you sure it's hydraulic? The reason I ask is that on our Dynasty all the slides except the driver's side rear (bedroom) are hydraulic, that one is electric. You can look under the bed to be sure. If in fact it is hydraulic, it could be the switch or the solenoid. When our passenger side rear slide would not retract I was advised to first replace the switch. I was told that one part of the switch provides power to the motor, another the solenoid. So you may hear the motor running but the solenoid won't activate. I replaced the switch which didn't fix the problem. By removing the tool tray in the steps you can access the solenoid packs. Each may have its own separate inline fuse. In our case while checking out the wires I found one had pulled out of the solenoid. I was able to reinsert it to get the slide in but needed to replace the solenoids ($$$$) Good luck!

We looked under the bed frame. There is an electric apparatus plugged in. Guess assumed slide out was hydraulic because you can hear motor running under the steps when you push the switch. Will do some more checking. Hoping to leave Tuesday for 2 months, so sure need to get this problem solved.
thank you for your help!

here is something else to check.. Last year when we were all set to head home from a winter here in tucson that same slide would not come in.. we found that a tooth had broken off the drive gear and stuck in the rail under the slide.. once we found the broken tooth and removed it the slide would work. I had to stand on my head under the bed with the plywood removed to see the broken piece. I had a new gear made at a machine shop after we got home and installed it and all is good.

1st try manual open method for the slide with a wrench. I turned it a tad and it started working again on its own. Was just stuck.

Since that slide is electric you might be able to get it in by having two people push on the slide while the motor is running. That would allow you to move the motorhome.

yes indeed all, apparently that slide is the sole electric slide on our MH. So today mattress coming out to inspect underneath. We have it inside now so will be able to work on it a little more comfortably. Sure hope it is something easily reparable so we can head south next week!

My 01 dynasty had a little plastic piece on the spade connector on the relay (drivers side rear panel) broken off and breaking contact on that relay. You could try swapping the relay too.

I now have the teeth broken off my bedroom drive gear. Would you send the part number and where you found it.

GTX, are you talking about the plastic gear or metal gear?
