Rearview Mirror! How to get at the screws?

The neighbor kid (good kid) wanted to earn extra money, so he asked if he could wash my Motorhome. He is a hard worker, so I said yes and left for a meeting. Just got home and the driver's rear view mirror is hanging down and only held on by the power cable. The screws pulled out and are apparently striped. They are just large wood screws and are not bolts held on the other end by a nut.

How do you get at the screws? Does the cover come off to get at them and if so, how? Help, once I get at them, I can figure out how to fix it but I can't figure out how to get at them.

Thank you, I sent Remco Engineering an e-mail at 6 A.M. this morning and they sent back an e-mail at 7 A.M that gave me the procedure for removal. What fast service, Matt from tech support must get in very early in Elkhart.
