RECOMMENDATION NEEDED: Older Monaco Atwood Water Heater Repair Tech - Western States
Our coach is a 1999 Monaco Diplomat with an Atwood GC10A-3E Electric/LP Gas water heater. We need a new circuit board installed, as the old one has gone bad. We COULD order it from Amazon, but we are on our way back to Los Angeles for personal reasons and cannot coordinate the ordering, staying in one place to wait for the part and *maybe* manage to find an independent contractor to fix the water heater in whatever place we stop in.
So...
We could REALLY use a recommendation for a repair technician:
1. Who is located between Memphis, TN and Los Angeles. We are taking Interstate 40 a significant part of the way, stopping in Albuquerque and Lake Havasu as well.
And yes, we recognize that's a long distance to consider, but we're planning on calling any recommended person and scheduling an appointment well ahead of our arrival in their area;
2. Who is reliable and trustworthy; and
3. Who is preferably independent (it saves money; plus, we support independent business people whenever possible, as that's what we are and we know how tough it is for small businesses to survive against large corporate competitors).
Any recommendations for technicians who have a lot of familiarity and/or old stock of Atwood parts would be especially appreciated.
Thank you!

If you get a new board, get the Dinosaur brand. The best. Plug and play.

Not only do we not have the desire to do the repair, more importantly, we just don't have the time. As it stands now, we work an average of 12-16 hours a day, usually 6-7 days a week. So time is more valuable to us than saving a few bucks at this point.
So again, any recommendations for a provider who could have the parts by the time we arrive in their area?

If you drop down to the north phoenix area (Peoria) try Jeff at Fix My RV. 623-875-5015. I highly recommend him, both for quality of work and cost.

I'll give him a call tomorrow. If we can settle on parts needed, cost, etc., it may very well be worth the trip down there to get this done.
