My 120 outlet for the fridge runs through the GFI in the bathroom. So if that trips for whatever reason, my fridge goes off too.

My single outlet is wired so one is inverted and one is not. My ice maker was on the inverted circuit.

Confusing? The standard two socket outlet used everywhere is powered by two different sources. The actual outlet has a jumper on the side that is removed so even though there are two holes to plug things in each one is powered differently.
