I have a Dometic fridge and it cools better when I'm using AC versus gas. Is this normal?

This is my first reply, hope it works, they should both work the same, or about the same, but most work the best one way or the other. If it works better on ac, most of the time the gas flame has some rust or other stuff that falls on it, take a look at flame and give it a cleaning if needed, turn of ref, let it cool some, use some canned air and blow off the stuff on burner, good luck

I have owned five different ones over the past 30 years or so. Four Dometics and now a brand new Norcold 1200. Every one cooled better on AC than gas but always more than adequate on either. If you're able to freeze water in the freezer, you're good.

For what ever reason on a/c mine cools faster and recovers faster---but once up to max it works fine either way.
