We have a 2005 HR Navigator a 43PBQ. While it is an all electric coach, for some reason it was spec'ed with a Norcold gas reefer that uses the 120volt heater unit only. It works OK but is slow to cool down and the internal temp seems to vary all over the map. Our last coach, and Alpine was equipped with a residential reefer and we loved it. I have diecide to bite the bullet and pull the gas unit out and replace it with a residential.

Problem is the existing space is an unusual size. I cant seem to find a reefer that fits without sticking out too far. So I need to ask you folks if anybody has a similar coach that came spec'd with a residential reefer? if so can u look inside the reefer and give me the make and model number. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I know people that have replaced the Dometic 1402 with a residential and but not specifically your coach. . you might want to reach out to Jeff Marner at All 4 One Service in Michigan..he does this stuff in his sleep.

Hey Stretch,

Do you have a buyer for the Norcold? If not what is the model number? Might be a great upgrade for my old 97.

My 2004 Sig came with a two door (side by side) domestic refrigerator. Also because of the frig the Sig came with four more 6 volt batteries for a total of eight so it stays powered. I am more than glad to provide measurements and pictures of the installation. If you want that info then please email me direct at mike.c@mindspring.com.

David:

It is a Norcold 4 door with icemaker 1200. It has never been on Propane so that part of the system is new.
