Checked fuses, plugs, all of the obvious signs. There is a signs of two wires blackened that lead into the propane bumner? I was going to post a picture but didn't know how to do that.

Hi and Welcome to IRV2!!

Before we get to your wires, how bout starting at the beginning. Year, make, and model motorhome? Manufacturer of fridge, Dometic or Norcold? Model or style, side by side? over and under?

When you turn it on, does the panel or indicator light lights up?
does the light come on when you open the door?

As for the pics... if you hit "go advanced" then scroll down to "manage attachments" you can upload pics.

Hi Jim
You are right but in my profile I put Monaco , Camelot 40 ft. So I thought that information transferred but obviously not. Sorry. It is an dometic side be side refrigerator and nothing works including any light - it is dead! Does that help. These board are a learning curve.

Jim,

We have a Dometic NDA 1402 autodefrost w/icemaker in our 2009 Camelot. The attached photo shows the wires going to the heater which show evidence of burned insulation, but the wire connection seems to be tight. Does this look like this could be a problem?

While traveling the Check LP came on. After resetting, it worked, but later went off, and when we parked for the night nothing worked. LP is on and we tested the stove to be sure and burners lite up. We also tested with AC and still nothing.

There is 12V coming into the curcuit at the bottom of the reefer.

The control panel is dark. Nothing lights up no matter how many buttons you push.

We checked all of the fuses with a tester and they tested good.

Thanks.

Looking in the back of the fridge there is two black boxes the small has a fuse that should be checked. the large one may or may not have fuses as models do change, but also should be checked. The burnt wires may have popped a fuse if there was a sensor failure.

Just for a quick test, hook the two red wires that are burnt a little together. The thermo on the side of the burner box is a one time fuse. the poor conection may have cause the thermo-fuse to open. you will need to repair the wires any how.

Yep, wires are definitely burnt. As was previously posted, twist them together and see if it works.
