Remove Wheel Cover Center Disk

There is a disk at the center of my 2007 HR Neptune front wheel covers. In order to remove the wheel cover this disk must be removed to access a retaining fixture mounted to the wheel hub. The disks look like they should just pop off. There are a couple of indents on the edge of the disk that look like they should take a screwdriver for prying the disk off. I've tried everything I can think of but so far I've only managed to do some minor damage. Am I missing something obvious here?
Note: I got the nuts that go on over the lug nuts off. The nuts are not my problem.
Thank you,
Barry

I finally resorted to the bigger hammer theory of fine watch and RV repair. I got a larger screwdriver and a wood ply block to protect the wheel cover. Enough force and it popped right off.
