Removing Sofa Bolts

I recently removed a two seat sofa from my curbside slide out to make room for an easy chair recliner/rocker. The sofa was bolted down with four 3/8 inch bolts and nuts. The bolts come up through the slide out floor. Looking at the slide from outside you can't see the bolt heads as the slide underside is sealed.

Question: If I cut the bolts off level with the floor will the remaining bolt piece fall thru the floor and rattle OR will the bolt remain in the slide floor. If it falls thru there appears to be no way to reach it.

On our 06 Sig they are carriage bolts and the smooth head is visible on the bottom of the slide. I could remove the bolt by tapping them down from above while the slide was extended.

The seat belts were done the same way.

The front of the sofa was bolted down from above with simple short lag bolts into the wood flooring.

Sounds like yours are different.

Thanks for the info. I'll just as close to the floor leaving bolt attached.
