Looking to replace the useless Carefree Marquee electric door awning with a Carefree OtD (over the door) Curved Arm model on my '06 Endeavor. Has anyone ever done it? If so, any info you have will be appreciated.

I know Bill at RVUpgrades.com and he is a Carefree dealer. Perhaps you can give him a call and ask him about your particular installation. If he doesn't know the answer he'll hook you up with someone that does.

Thanks DriVer. I e-mailed your firend Bill and he said that Carefree only sells to certified dealers, so he couldn't offer any advice.

Does anyone else have any first hand knowledge that you care to share?

What kind of problem are you having with the awning? Why do you say it's useless?

I have the electric model without the arms on each side.

Deadeye96, we have the electric awning without arms over our door too, but it is useless in the rain. It is not wide enough to keep you dry during a rain storm and it is up too high and it drips on the steps! I don't think it was engineered by a user, otherwise it would be lower and longer, would have a pitch.

Thanks for the explanation.

During rain is about the only time we use ours. My only complaint is that when it's retracted and raining...I use one of those gutter drain extenders...the water drips onto the awning cover and falls straight down about an inch from the face of the door and hits the step. Sounds like a slot machine dropping coins in the tray Makes it impossible to exit or enter the coach without getting wet. I keep the awning retracted if there is wind, I don't think it's made sturdy enough to handle serious wind.
