Replacement Generator question

Hello all,

We have a 1995 Monaco Windsor 38' diesel pusher and our Kohler generator that came with it has died. Due to the horrible experience getting parts and service on the Kohler, we are looking at other options for a replacement. Our original ran on LP but we aren't set on staying with LP. Any recommendations/ suggestions from anyone that has done this? Obviously it needs to fit in the compartment the other came out of.

We are going cross country this summer and need AC.

Thanks for any help!
Sam

How many kW was the old one? There are diesel models down to 3kW I believe.

The old one was 7kw but anything above 6 will run what I need. My understanding is that the LP ones lower the amount you actually get out of it which is why the original one was 7.

I was looking at a used Onan gold but would have to do a bunch of retro fitting to get her in. Hadn't seen the salvage place you sent so I will definitely check that out.

Thanks!

My 1989 Rockwood Classic had a LP Onan which always started quick and was 6KW I believe. Sanford
