I Have 2008 Dynasty With Electric Fridge, Coach has 8 batteries & 2 Starting Batteries, I Need to replace ALL 10 as they have froze & Some are Busted, My Question What Do I have to do after replacing them as far as any REPROGRAMMING, Say for the Computers to work, Do I need to do anything with the Inverter/Charger, Or Do I just replace them & start It up, will everything still work?.

If you have an Aqua-Hot system will will have to use a paper clip and push the reset. Sometimes you have to do a master reset on the DueTherm thermostats which is done by turning the switch off on the bottom and holding both the mode and zone buttons in while turning the switch on the bottom back on. You might should also check the inverter/converter remote panel for programming.

Are you putting the same type batteries back in. Lead acid or AGM.

You insurance might cover the cost.

I called Monaco when I replaced the starting batts in our coach. They said I could unhook all the batteries without losing the memory in the engine computer and trans computer. He said that any other gadget using the batt 12v such as the radio might lose its sets but nothing vital. I replaced the chassis batts with no ill effect.

Thanks for the Info!.

I'm Still up in the Air as to What I should replace them with, I had Interstate U2200, Altho I Have a Local Guy That Sells AC Delco's, Or Do I Go With Agm's, Not treally Sure. I Do Know I want To get The Best batteries for all the Components I Have, I Really don't Care about the Price. I Just want Batteries that are reliable.

Sam's Club sells 6 volt Energizer GC-2 golf cart batteries that are 220 amp for $75 each. They are a form fit replacement for the Interstate U2200. The cheapest I can work a deal in a U2200 is $109 each or if I but 4 or more then they are $103 each.

You do know by now that only uncharged (dead) batteries freeze. We learned that the hard way when we lived in Maine.

Have you read this House Batteries

After Viewing Much discussion on irv2 Forums, I have decided to replace 8 Coach batteries & 2 Engine batteries from Interstate U2200 with GPL-6CT Agm's.
My Question, Will I need to do adjust anything, Such as Inverter, Charger or any other Components?.
Any assistance will be GREATLY appreciated.

Your inverter should be set to the type of battery. Check your remote panel for the inverter for battery selection.

Some AGMs are physically taller than what you had. Make sure you have no problem installing them in the battery compartment. If the batteries are on a slide-out tray, this may or may not present a problem.

What should you replace them with.. Personally I really like the Interstate U-2200 but I will give you honest thoughts.

First though a question: The U-2200 needs occasional cleaning and watering.. How hard is it to access the battery for these operations? If you need to be a triple jointed controtionist.. AGM may be the better idea.. If it is as simple as lifting the top step.. Stick with Flooded wet cells.. WHY? COST, that's why

The flooded wet cell, properly maintained, is your lowest cost and longest lived option. AGM's cost as much as 3 (or more) times the cost of the flooded wet cell and may well not last as long.

Though Lifeline AGM's can be recharged a bit faster than Flooded wet cells (that may be an advantage) they are also the most expensive.

Sams and Costco Golf Car batteries are made by Johnson Controls.. J.C. also makes some of the Interstate (US Battery is the other manufacturer of Interstate)

The problem is not all stores carry them.

But that would be my suggestion... EIther Sam's, Costco, or Interstate.

Looking at the year and model of your rig you should have a Magnum inverter/charger (either 2000 or 2800 watt true sign wave version) and it will have to be set to match the type house batteries you install. There are settings for battery type, capacity, etc. If the operating manual is not clear how to set it up for the type batteries you install then you should call Magnum - I understand they have good technical support. I hope this helpful.
