When running down the road do you run the fridge on the inverter and let the alternator charge house batteries or do you run the generator?

Thanks,

BILL

I run the inverter 24/7. When on the road the alternator will do just fine. Also solar is working too.

If I am not hooked up to shore power I turn off the ice maker as that uses a bit of juice. Usually have the Samsung in the eco mode too.

Installed a Samsung RF197 in my '07 Knight with 4 6v batts, 600 watts of solar, a new Pure Sine Wave 2000 Inverter and have no problem while boondocking 4-6 weks at a time.

We Run the genset for about 1.5 hrs while making breakfast, then solar takes over. We usually run the genset again for another hour around 9pm and wake up with batts at 55-60% state of charge. Then the process repeats itself.

Inverter is on 24/7 and we do not have a separate inverter for the frig.

The system works great and runs 24/7 while one they road.

You'll love it!
