Resetting The Transmission?

How can we reset our Allison transmission? Will disconnecting the chassis batteries reset the transmission shift patterns?

I want my transmission to re-learn my driving style after spending most of the summer driving the mountains.

There should be a dedicated wire on the chassis battery that provides power to the transmission ECU. If you disconnect the power it should reset the transmission and it should relearn your driving habits.

Yes remove all power from the Allison by unhooking the chassis battery's ground and positive, I forgot the length of tome but 15 minutes should do it.

It would seem that disconnecting the chassis batteries would acomplish the same thing. If there is one additional (dedicated) wire from the transmission to the positive terminal, then just disconnecting the ground should work. I do not recall an additional transmission wire on our 2005 Knight.
