Ice cubes on demand, true frozen food in the freezer compartment, milk that doesn't go "blinky" before it's time, no "flame outs" while traveling...and the list goes on and on...

Having one that doesn't catch fire is a definite upgrade!

When we pulled ours out, the roof was black. I can see if you boon dock, then an RV fridge might be an advantage. Built the space that we regained, the convenience, the cold food again, being able to go grocery shopping and not worry about a box size and knowing that your food will always be cold.
Our long term goal is to install a large lithium battery back and more solar. Plus this fridge is lighter than the Norcold. If they had come out with a compressor model, we might have stayed. No looking back now and no regrets.

Guess you have to do it to understand. We did many useful modifications to our 2007 Diplomat, but adding the Samsung RF 18 was easily the BEST upgrade we did. Our 2017 Diplomat came with the Westinghouse that Mathew installed above. Both are much more efficient than the Norcold was. Neither are a problem when dry camping.

Biggest problem we've had with our Samsung is buying enough food to fill it. At 17.5 cu ft compared to 12 cu ft it is a upgrade.

The wrs322fdaw whirlpool. The only thing we needed was the 2” on height. The width and depth are perfect. We only use a Velcro strap to keep the doors closed. Wheels come off really easily. About 15lbs lighter than the Norcold.

The Whirlpool WRS322FD is the same model that came with our new Diplomat. My wife misses the bottom freezer that the Samsung had, but I've got to say, this Whirlpool works very well and is extremely efficient - like the Samsung was. We dry camped with it for a week with no problem. I think the space inside is a smidgen larger than the Samsung, although it's laid out differently, of course.
BTW, Mathew, if your stainless steel doors ever get marked or tarnished, give Whirlpool Customer Service a call. They will send you some amazing cleaner that restores the doors to like-new condition. Nothing else worked for us as well as well as the stuff they sent us for free.

Not to mention how long the wife stands there looking for something. It doesn't matter now.

I'm anxious to get rid of my 18 year old Norcold and replace it with a residential fridge. I'd like to use the Samsung, but I have a space issue in my 2000 Dynasty. I only have 66" of height and don't have enough room in the furnace space under the fridge to lower the floor 5 inches. The fridge in my coach is opposite the angled range and pantry so I only have 50" to swing the door 90 degrees and open the crisper drawers. I think that leaves out a top or bottom freezer fridge. I've found a few 10.7 and 11.5 cu units that will fit, but nothing bigger. Any suggestions?

The whirlpool only needs 2 inches more in height. The width and depth are perfect. You need 66” for height.

With the limited "swing room" look at the french door models or one that can swing open either way... Get the full range of sizes for each manufacturer @ Loews,Home Depot & even Sears..
I know that there are several that should be nearly a slide in..
Just go ahead and put it on a "true sine wave" inverter..Just in case what you go with isn't really compatible with the "modified sine wave" version of the inverter.
{edit}...
Just read jarvis's3355 post... there Ya go.....That should do you a good job..
