You may be right, I took a guess. I just knew that it wasn't nearly as thin as most tapes.

On every motorhome/camper/trailer I have owned, I have replaced the standard roof caulk with the Eternabond Tape where ever I could. For the roof seams and along the length of the units where the roof trim is, I use the 4" wide Eternabond to cover the seams. The surface has to be clean for it to stick, and I use the recommended roller to to roll once stuck down. My old Newmar had the Eternabond tape on the seams for over 7 years when it was sold. My new to me Monaco will get the roof treatment this summer when I can find the time. The Eternabond tape is a great product!

Actually they say it will last around 15 years. Still better than every six months/year.
Just did it on mine, now trading it in. Lucky new owner.

What width is everyone using? I have 4 inch but feel it might be a little thick to run the entire length of the coach. Anyone have any photos?

I used the 4" on mine the whole way. It covered very good. I was trying to post a picture but not having good luck. If you have an email I will send you a shot of my old newmar's roof done in Eternabond. I guess I need a new photo host.

Here is the tape I have used on my roof for over 8 years. It has held up brilliantly. It is paintable and has remained flexible all these years. I covered most of the factory tape that seems to have tar as a base. After cleaning the old stuff and trimming where necessary this stuff has done an amazing job.
You can get it in various widths etc.
