Hi All, Did a couple of searches and didn't find anything regarding carriers. I have a 2000 Monaco Diplomat and have always kept it covered, using the fold on roof, pull down off and stuff into a very large garbage can (clean of course ). A friend suggested installing one of those Sport Pods on the roof to store the cover in, no more hauling on and off the rig.

Question any of you installed an enclosed pod on your roof, if so; 1) what brand are you using; 2) how is it mounted; and 3) where on the roof is it located? Any additional information would also be appreciated.

Thanks, sharon

GoldmyneGD......I bought an outdoor patio/garden box (grey & green plastic 3' L x 2' w x 3' T) from Home Depot and store my cover in that. I'm lucky enough to be able to park my coach at home and have a wrought iron fence that the rear of the coach backs up to. I mounted the above box on top of the fence by supporting it with two extra poles. I can climb up my rear ladder, open the box and grab the front of the cover. I continue onto the roof and drag the cover on. Once it's on the roof, I unfold it as usual.

When putting the cover back, I just reverse the procedure and let it fall back into the box. The box sits about two feet lower than the roof of the coach.

Diplomat Don, good idea, I also am fortunate to have the RV at home. However, pull into a wrought iron fence, in the 100degree weather here, it puts the windshield to the North away from the beating sun. Need to figure a way to get the cover up on the front of the rig..................
