"Rotate" Switch in Engine Compartment?

I have an 06 Monaco LaPalma (gasser) with the W22 chassis. Inside the engine compartment, with the compartment light fixture is a dial of sorts that reads "Retract". It's mounted to the top of the compartment. I can't seem to find any information on this on the forum, in the manuals or online.

Anyone know what this does? I can get a pic of it if that would help.

Thanks

Tom

The light comes out on a cord and can be retracted by winding the handle.

WOW! That one was making my head hurt! Never imagined what he was talking about, til I saw your solution (And I've used that light a million times, too).

Kudos to ya, Homey!
