Literall rough. Left Reno Saturday morning around 11 and drove to Denver. Made it here late Sunday afternoon. I would have to say that 98 percent of the drive was nice, but there were some sections that rattled my fillings out. I-80 through SLC was rough, but nothing compared to I-25 from the WY/CO border till almost Denver.

I know my gas coach was rougher, but it was really bad. I suffered some collateral damage from the roughness. I will probably find new broken things for the next two weeks...

I lost my front A/C unit while driving to Reno from San Jose, so had the dash A/C cranked the whole time. At least I could run the genny for the back A/C so Ang could be comfortable. Sunday morning, after a nap at Little America, I looked under the coach and found my generator exhaust hanging down. It looks like something hit it and pushed it right out of the connection at the generator. Wired that in place so it didn't drag, but there went the genny.

As we were getting close to our destination, a girl in a car came beside me and started doing that "motorist sign language". Had no idea what the heck she was saying, but figured it wasn't good from the tone of her gestures.

Pulled to the side of the road and found my air inlet tube dragging on the ground behind the coach. If it would have been a little longer, it would have looked like I was trying to duct something to my Jeep.

The tube is a large, flexible duct - maybe 5 or 6 inches in diameter - that goes from the air filter box to the mid/upper portion of the back. There is a gap, then there is a tube up to the air inlet near the top of the coach. If I knew what it attached to, I could probably remove the coolant tank and reach in there, but I can't tell where it is suppose to go. No obvious bracket or anything. My entertainment system got hammered - even vibrated the smart card out of the satellite receiver, my Verizon air card broke, and three beers feel out of the fridge when I opened the door. And, when we got here, found out our reservations were for Monday, not Sunday. I got a spot, but had to move this morning.

Rough weekend. Glad we are parked. Sure could use another A/C and the inlet fixed. I miss being in Florida close to Wildwood...

Holy Crap diggin! I know there is some rough interstate in the south and I usually pick the lane that is smoothest and let the cages get ******. Never had that much trouble though.

Check the fillings in your teeth and then go have a cold one on me. Tell the beer-tender to call me and I'll give him a cost code to get yer psyche back in the groove.

Sorry to hear of all the little oops's that got ya. Sounds like some duct tape and a sawzall will solve most of the issues.

YIKES!!! I may have to rethink taking any of those roads for any future trips.

BTW-I hope you are able to eventually sober up in time for the wedding after all the drinks we are tossing your way!!

and...Good luck with your daughter's wedding stuff this week ...

I certainly feel for you in getting your 'baby' all roughed-up like that.

But when I got to the part about beer falling out of the frig, it brought tears to mine eyes. There oughtta be laws against roads like that (hey, I-10 thru Louisiana, you listening?)

Burp..... Thanks for all the cold ones. I will let you all know how my head is in the morning.

Tom N - As far as I know, I am running what I should be. I jump on the scale any time my load changes much, and follow the inflation charts. I have changed elevation since I last adjusted, so I will check again some morning. Just weighed again yesterday, so I have fresh numbers again. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have no idea if this is related, but I seem to be running two different voltages in the coach. I am plugged into 50A service, and am getting ~119V in the rear of the coach, and 104-108 in the front. Does this make any sense?

To add to the casualty list, my coffee pot fried this morning. I think now it was probably related to the low voltage in the front. Ang went to use the microwave earlier today and it popped a breaker on the inverter. That, along with the coffee pot made me meter the outlets.

I have a Kill-A-Watt plugged into the rear, back by my computer stuff so I can keep an eye on the voltage. I would not have thought I could have two different "zones" of voltage. Thoughts on this one?

The voltage issue sounds like a bad connection on one leg of the 50 amp service. Hmmm (scratching head and thinking), check the voltage at the source to make sure it's not the supply side. While unplugged, flip all your breakers off/on then look at the inside voltage again (after restoring power to the coach). Last resort, start looking at the connections from the entry to the main panel. Since it looks like half the coach is affected, probably going to be a big connector loose (of course, it may be something totally different like bad blinker fluid, but heck, we're speculating). I assume the AC units are OK. If that side has a low voltage problem, you may damage a compressor/motor.

Momma, the Kill-a-watt thingies are great. Cost is about $20-$25 and the toy is worth the investmant. You can see just how much power your coffee pot and hairdryer uses. I have verified the operation of my voltage booster by watching the display when a load kicks in. Neat gadget. Put on Sac's wish list.

Do you have your inverter turned ON?? Turn the inverter OFF and check voltages again.
