MM has recommended me a router for use in the coach, but I have managed to loose the slip of paper where it was written.
MM - please - could you tell me which one you are using? ( Are you really really going to Quartzsite? )
I am also using the Verizon UM150 wireless modem and the router will obviously have to be able to accept this as a USB plug-in.
Does anyone else have any advice on this subject?
Thanks all

I'm using the Dlink DIR-450 modem with the Verizon KPC650 aircard. This has worked well for me in about 95% of the places I go in the southwest. It creates a wireless hotspot that the DW uses so we can both be online at the same time. I also use a Wilson 3 watt boot and external antenna in places where the signal is weak. This modem is encrypted.

We ordered ours from solidsignal.com. It is Cradle point MBR 1000. It accepts USb ports or express cards.

Danes...
I had excellent service from the 3G Store as did Lukeaa. I also got the MBR1000 from them.. and it was simple to set up with the updated firmware that 3G sent with it.
Alex was great ...

Dane,
We have been very happy with this one. http://cradlepoint.com/ctr500/ctr500.php I get a great signal sitting outside with a glass of wine. Mama got the bigger model.
Let me know when you and Ann are going to in our area. I will fire up the BBQ pit.

Same here...bought the Cradlepoint MBR1000 router and a Verizon USB727 modem from 3GStore. Everything came all set up...it was just "plug and play." Excellent service!

My RF bubble goes out about 150' and holds above 6MB without external antennas or amps (but have those too ). Anything more than that is probably unnecessary at broadband speeds.
