I asked the below question in the Class A Forum:

I'll be working in my RV next week parked in front of my house. The RV will be parked on about a 10 degree incline. Will it hurt to run the genny at this angle? It's an Onan 10KW.

I got two answers – one said no problem, the other said, “The only thing I would worry about is the oil not reaching the pickup tube in the oil pan but I would think it would have to hit angles far greater than 10 degrees.”
Do you see any problem? Thanks.

I can not think of a single reason why the generator could not be run. It is just an engine, much like your car or MH engine.

I can only assume that the 10 degree is front to back and not side to side. If your oil pickup stays in the oil you should be ok. If it sucks air the oil sensor will shut it down right now. As long is you have enough fuel in the tank that the higher 3/4 or so gen pickup does not suck air it should run.

I base this on running down 8 10 degree grades in the mountains with gen running to keep both roof airs running to offset the 100 degree temps. Yep it was a lot of jake brake noise but worked just fine Now I look a lot closer at the grades on the roads I take......
