Running warm on a 2001 40' Dynasty

Hey let me tell you all my situation and see if anyone has any input. I was heading back from the lake 4th of july weekend and got into some traffic and started using my pacbrake. After a few miles of stop and go I noticed I was running hot, about 215 to 220. I stayed off the pacbrake and turnned the ac off and made it home with out over heating but continued to run hot the rest of the way even after getting out of traffic. When I stopped at home I checked the fan and it was running at high speed, but I noticed the rubber shroud around the radiator that connects to the body panel was destroyed and half missing. I replaced the shroud and tested the coach at idle and now it wont get over 195. It dosent even activate the wax valve for high fans. Do you all think that a combo of high rpm's and low speed plus the damaged shroud was the issue or has anyone else ran into a similar situation with a different problem that im not seeing?

I don't know what year your dynasty is but on my 01 the wax valve opens at 185 and is wide open at 199. Your manual have about 3-4 pages on the hydraulic fan.

I looked and my shroud is disintegrated as well. Where did you get the replacement material?

According to all the info I have found the 2 options for wax valves are 195 or 210. I dont know which one i have, I assume its the 210. And I used roofing membrane to make the new shroud.

Running warm on a 2001 40' Dynasty

I rebuilt my shroud from Master Carr
8568K383High-Strength Multipurpose Neoprene Rubber, 1/8" Thick, 36" Width, 50A Durometer, 4' Length
I was about 140 but I have quite a bit left over at home. I used thumb rivets for the rear attachment, aluminum rivets for the top and bottom and short sheet metal screws with washers for the front. I also put in some aluminum strips to attach the rubber to.
The hardest part is getting the pattern. Should have kept it. In the front (forward) top and bottom piece allow for three inch ears to fold back under. If you are at
Madison I can show you mine.
