I have Progressive on my new to me 2005 HR SCEPTER , contacted Miller Agency, and received a quote for $1,000 less with Triton a Nationwide company . Has anyone used this carrier?

I left Blue Sky because my fine print said I couldn't park within 1500' of a tidal body or water or a named water way. They wouldn't change the declaration but wanted to send me a email saying I could disregard ...not

Must be regional for some reason. I have Blue Sky, and have no exclusion for coverage near water.
I've had one claim with Blue Sky and the claim was handled fine. They have a diminishing deductible, so I now have a zero deductible. I also have replacement cost as opposed to actual cash value in the event of a total loss. That makes it a more difficult decision to change carriers.

I left Blue Sky because my rate went from $1100 to $2800 in one year. Perfect driving record, no accidents. One small claim for hotel and food when having RV worked on (mechanical problems). Also my coach turned 10 years old this year and replacement cost does not apply anymore.... Went to FMCA and they found better insurance for $1000 a year...

For me it is Progressive. I had a $21,000.00 claim with them, $00.00 deductible and no increase in the following year rates. They paid no questions asked, in fact they paid the body shop before the job was finished.

I've read and reread my Blue Sky Policy and can't find this? Maybe it's something they add for your local zip code.

When I had Blue Sky in 2013 they asked the proximity to water had to be at least 1500 ft. Had to change because they raised the premium over a thousand bucks for no justification. To the OP most companies offer good rates the first year then jack the premium up the following year. That's been my experience and that of a vast number of forum members. Their are many varying factors that will determine the bottom line. My suggestion, try National interstate, many brokers use them.

Just received a quote from Fmca Ins. Allied, $1,100 less than my renewal from Progressive, too much difference to pass up.

Was ALL of the coverage 1 for 1?

We have Safeco (Florida) and the price was better than Progressive, GEICO and National General (previously GMAC).

I am a licensed Florida insurance agent. I sell Progressive. I am not an agent for Safeco, and went to another agency for the Safeco policy. I do not know how they compare to Progressive as far as handling claims, but the coverages and limits I purchased were slightly better and the price was lower than Progressive.

I went with Allied( Nationwide), in Fl. insured at stipulated value, vs. mkt. value , higher personal content, $1,100 less than Progressive.
